As part of the architectural design team for Richard Meier & Partners, Steinberg Architects provided programming, planning, design, interiors, documentation, and construction administration services for the $343 million San Jose Civic Center. This 18-story building serves as the City of San José’s new City Hall.
This symbolic new facility supports the City’s vision for
creating an environment that fosters collaborative teamwork and achievement, and a positive customer-oriented experience. Our work explored technological implications on space and work environments, as well as workplace trends, and involved input from 30 departments. The firm also provided interior design services for the entire 550,000SF complex.
